Interroll closed the first half of 2026 with rising revenue and falling profits. The group, based at Sant'Antonino, posted sales of 270 million francs, 9% more than in the same period a year earlier.

The operating result came in at 27 million francs, down 2%. Net profit fell by 7% to 20 million. New orders amount to 295 million francs, a rise of 4%.

Organic growth was 5%. The company attributes the trend to better customer demand and to more projects in its main markets. The strength of the franc, by contrast, weighed on the figures expressed in Swiss currency.

A half-year of transition

Management notes that momentum has improved and regards this as a solid basis for the second part of the year.

Interroll makes components and systems for automating logistics and industrial processes. It was founded in 1959 and has been listed on the stock exchange since 1997. It employs 2,400 people and recorded revenue of 514 million francs in 2025. Its clients include Amazon, Bosch, Nestlé and Walmart.

The market has so far received the group's performance coolly. Since January 2026 the share has lost 37%.

The divergence between growing revenue and shrinking margins shows that higher volume has not translated into profitability. The exchange rate is one factor, since a substantial share of revenue comes from foreign markets and is converted into francs.

For the Bellinzona area the group is one of the main industrial employers. The course of the second half will show whether margins follow volumes.
