Brazil meat import ban hits poultry hardest
Since early September, Switzerland has banned meat imports from Brazil, aligning with the European Union's decision over antibiotic use in livestock farming. Poultry is hit hardest: in Italian-speaking Switzerland, weekly consumption of Brazilian chicken ran to about one tonne.
